India's Hidden Plague

14-year-old Neelam goes to school at night and works during the day to send her six-year-old younger brother to school. Kamal her younger sister misses her mommy a lot and Neelam is unable to console her. She supports the family with her meagre earnings of Rs.1200 a month after abruptly losing both her parents to HIV AIDS. Luckily the children have not been infected. But without any support from society, their childhood is under threat.

National Geographic commissions an international documentary film to support Population Services International (PSI) in their fight against HIV AIDS. Ashley Judd the PSI YouthAIDS ambassador travels to India to witness first-hand the devastating effects of this deadly disease. She teams up with Bollywood celebrities like Shahrukh Khan to garner support to prevent the spread of HIV AIDS.
